Durante la Masterclass di Violoncello tenuta dal M° Patrizio Serino saranno approfonditi i passi orchestrali ed il repertorio solistico.
Ogni allievo effettivo si potrà esibire nel concerto finale: i più meritevoli, su indicazione del docente, saranno segnalati per partecipare a prestigiose stagioni concertistiche come I Fiori musicali 2018-19 e il Festival IMOC 2019.
Born in Rome, Patrizio Serino is the principal cellist soloist of Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence,chosen by Zubin Metha.
He graduated from the Conservatory Santa Cecilia of Rome with F. Strano and has completed his postgraduate studies in Santa Cecilia Academy receiving the prestigious Sinopoli prize awarded by the President of the Italian Republic.
Further studies included a Masters in Performance with cellist I. Monighetti in Basel and various masterclasses with M. Brunello, E.Dindo, E. Bronzi, D. Geringas and G.Hoffmann.
He is winner of many international prizes including first prize at the prestigious “Premio Trio di Trieste” competition in 2001..
He has collaborated with various orchestras as principal cellist including the Orchestra of Santa Cecilia, Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala,the Mozart Orchestra, Teatro C. Felice, Teatro San Carlo, Teatro M. Bellini,Orchestra della Toscana.
He therefore had and has the good fortune to collaborate with the great directors of our time,
as Z. Metha, F. Luisi, R. Muti, L. Mazeel, C. Abbado., R. Chailly, D. Gatti, K. Petrenko, M.W.Chung.
Always engaged in the chamber music( Ars trio, Quartetto Michelangelo, David piano trio, actually quartetto Matamoe), he has also recorded for the labels Altara and Stradivarius.
In the last few years he regularly devotes himself to teaching and collaborates with the School of Music in Fiesole and the O.G.I.
